Brushed steel, a conical shade, a slender rod holding it up. That's the Brolly Portable Table Lamp from New Works, and because it runs on a charge you can carry it from the desk to the dinner table without hunting for an outlet. A three-step touch dimmer sits at the peak of the shade, and the magnetic cable attaches beneath the base when it's time to top up.
Knut Bendik Humlevik designed it. Strict geometry on top, a little charm underneath.
