Maha Alavi Oval Knob and Wall Hook in Solid Cast Bronze

One piece, two jobs. The Oval Knob/Hook from Maha Alavi is hand cast in solid bronze with softly squared edges, and it works either as a cabinet knob on a drawer or door, or as a wall hook for coats, towels and accessories. Compact oval shape. No lacquer, so the bronze ages and takes on a natural patina as it goes.

Maha Alavi is an industrial designer working out of Toronto, and her pieces lean on clean joinery and forms you understand at a glance — fluid, but quiet about it.

Each one is cast by hand in a family-run foundry in South Asia, which means slight differences in colour and texture from piece to piece. That's the point, not a flaw.
