Falke Svatun designed the Kantarell Wall & Ceiling Lamp for New Works, and the shape does most of the talking. An inverted funnel shade in aluminum and steel hides the LED source near its centre, so light spills softly over the curved surface instead of hitting you straight on. That gives you a gentle ambient wash rather than a hard pool of light.
Mount it either vertically or horizontally, on a wall or overhead. It's hardwired, so plan the wiring before you hang it.
