Ordering a handle in Aged Brass and finding out it reads darker than the photo is a common headache. These Hapny Home finish samples let you hold the real thing against your cabinet door, counter or paint chip before you commit. Each finish starts on solid brass and goes through plating, brushing and sealing to keep the surface consistent over time.
Aged Brass (US5): electroplated over brass, then hand-brushed so the metal underneath shows through. Expect natural variation from piece to piece, sealed with lacquer.
Graphite: a warm gray tone electroplated over brass, sealed with lacquer for a smooth, even surface.
Matte Black (US19): matte black electroplated over brass and sealed with a durable lacquer, giving a uniform, non-reflective look.
Polished Chrome (US26): electroplated over brass and polished to a mirror-like, highly reflective surface.
Polished Nickel (US14): nickel electroplated over brass, then polished. The result is reflective but softer and warmer than chrome.
Satin Brass (US4): solid brass brushed to a fine linear grain, sealed with lacquer to hold the finish consistent.
Satin Nickel (US15): nickel-plated over brass, lightly brushed for subtle texture, then lacquered for a uniform surface.
Weathered Nickel: electroplated over brass and tumbled to create surface variation, sealed with lacquer for protection.
